General Purpose and Affordable

The TPS 2200 is a general-purpose instrument tailored for precision analysis of thermal transport properties. While not as versatile as the flagship TPS 2500 S, the TPS 2200 still adheres to ISO Standard 22007-2 and maintains an affordable price point.

Sample Geometries and Range

The TPS 2200 excels in analyzing a range of sample geometries, including millimeter-thick bulk samples. It measures Thermal Conductivity within the range of 0.01 to 500 W/m/K, accommodating a wide temperature spectrum from -100 °C to 750 °C. The instrument also has the capability to analyze anisotropic thermal transport properties of uniaxial materials, enhancing its utility.

Ideal Applications

While not as fast as the TPS 2500 S, the TPS 2200 is ideal for measuring larger samples such as extruded polymers, building materials, insulation materials, sheet metals, and laminates. It outperforms the TPS 1500, especially with high-conductivity samples and medium- to high-viscosity liquids. The TPS 2200 offers an expanded measurement range and improved accuracy compared to the TPS 500 S.

Optional Modules for Specialized Applications

The TPS 2200 is enhanced by optional measurement modules catering to specialized applications. These modules extend its capabilities to perform precise testing of isotropic materials, measurements of slab samples, analysis of anisotropic samples or layered structures, thin films or coatings, and testing of extremely light and low-conducting materials. The instrument can also directly measure the specific heat capacity of bulk samples—all vital applications across industries such as electronics, automotive, aerospace, nuclear, and chemical.
